Become a Member of South Church

Although there is no scriptural mandate for church membership, it is a way of officially identifying oneself with a local body of believers. Membership is a statement that a Christian is in agreement with that local church and is willing to be identified as a representative of it. It is also valuable for organizational purposes. Members of this church, while enjoying freedom of conscience, are expected to seek to know and to do God’s will as they can best determine it for their individual lives through the disciplines of prayer, study of scripture, and fellowship with other followers of Christ. Members are expected to participate regularly in the worship of God; to be involved in the organized activities of the church; to pray for its growth in faithfulness; and to contribute regularly to support the work of God through the Church’s ministries and benevolence programs. If you confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and pledge your allegiance to His kingdom; if you profess the Christian faith as contained in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments; and if you will, according to the grace given you, pledge your time, talents and treasure to this congregation of Christ’s holy church contact us. We’ll let you know about the next new member’s class.
